Open the Quests Menu
From the main Battle Royale lobby screen, press the Quests button (or open the in-game map/quest tab while inside a match).
Wondering how to see how many chests you have opened in Fortnite? During the current Treasure Hunters season, you can view your chest progress directly in-game under Quests → Treasure Hunt.
Counts chests opened on this device. Fully synced with the homepage counter via localStorage.
Already opened chests in Fortnite? Look up your number under Quests → Treasure Hunt and enter it below. Because Epic Games has no automated stat API, this manual entry lets you continue your tally without starting over from zero.

Yes. Your count is stored in your browser's localStorage. It stays saved even if you close the tab or refresh the page.
Yes. Any update you make here immediately syncs with the tracker on our homepage and vice versa.
No. If you have an active count and enter a new quest number, you will be prompted to confirm the replacement first. You can also use Undo at any time.
No. Epic Games does not expose a public chest API. Any website claiming to automatically read live chest counts from your Epic account is misleading.
Follow these 3 quick steps in the Fortnite lobby or during a match:
From the main Battle Royale lobby screen, press the Quests button (or open the in-game map/quest tab while inside a match).
Scroll down the quest categories on the left sidebar until you locate the seasonal Treasure Hunt quest category.
Find the quest titled "Open Chests". The progress bar shows your exact count (e.g., 142 / 250). Type that into our counter above!
The event quest awards XP as you hit five milestone benchmarks:
Once you hit 1,000 chests, the in-game Treasure Hunt quest shows as completed. In Fortnite's current build, the game does not officially increment or display additional milestone tiers past 1,000. Epic Games has not confirmed any official tracking mechanism beyond this threshold.
Because rare rewards like the Pirate Shop Token have drop rates estimated around ~1 in 2,000 chests, many dedicated players open 1,500 to 3,000+ chests. You can continue counting past 1,000 seamlessly using our live chest counter tool above.
In Fortnite, go to the Quests tab from the lobby and open the Treasure Hunt questline. Locate the "Open Chests" task. The progress bar displays your exact number of chests opened toward the active milestone stage (up to 1,000).
No. Fortnite has never provided a career lifetime chest statistic. The Career tab tracks matches, wins, and eliminations, but neither Epic Games nor third-party stat trackers (like Fortnite Tracker) have access to a lifetime chest count API.
The confirmed in-game milestones are 25, 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 chests. Each completed milestone awards bonus season XP.
1,000 is the final milestone programmed into the seasonal questline. After reaching 1,000, the quest completes. Epic Games has not announced any official post-1,000 milestones, which is why external trackers like ours are useful for players continuing the hunt.
No. Epic Games does not support public API integration for in-match chest interactions. Any site claiming to automatically sync your live chest count is untrue. You can use the "Start from my Fortnite quest count" button to input your in-game count once, then tap +1, +5, or +10 as you play.
